Writing this novel and self publishing it is only the first step on this journey. Making readers aware of its existence is the next part, and probably steeped in its own difficult paths. I envisage this author website or blog to be an organic proposition, developing as I progress, which is a bit like my writing. I will post about books, writing, literature in general, music and any other topics which I have a creative interest in. Originally, I wanted to research thoroughly other author websites and list what makes a good website, probably using excel tables and honing all the essential requirements. But, in the end I thought I would just build the website with how I’m comfortable. And the same goes for the posts I write. It might work, then again, I may have to go back and research what makes a good author website in a year’s time when there are no readers. We’ll see how it progresses. I’m hoping some people will connect with it, other won’t, but that is the nature of creative processes – whether writing, art, music or any other form of expression.
